-- What do you want?! -- shouted her father.
Aranda suddenly saw her friend spirit to come a gesture she must be silent. Then, he mouthed -- "Come with me", and he takes her to the brooms closet, and she wanted to ask him what was happening, but he said hissing -- "You must stay hidden! Don't dare making a noise".
-- Who are you?! Get out of my house! -- her father was angry.
-- Bester,... I'll not say it. Udhunnah Kell-u! -- and something fell onto the ground.
Her mother quickly runned upstairs, and entered her room looking for her daughter, she listened, but when she got out of the room Aranda listened to the same words again.
-- Udhunnah Kell-u! -- and her mother fell to the ground.
Aranda listened as the braker got upstairs, looked for her and found not. He muttered -- "She must be on vacation,... It doesn't matter. I have nothing to do to her, and I'll let it all here for the police try to understand what happened,... Hhm,... That's it,... And now",... she listened to him entering her parents room and getting off of there, then going downstairs.
One minute later, the spirit said -- "He's gone", and she asked -- "Can I get out?" -- "Wait! I'll see if you can get out, and come back".
It was a long minute, and then he came back and said -- "That's fine, you can get out. He's gone".
The moment she got out of the brooms closet, she saw her mother in the ground. She then tries to move her mother, muttering "Wake up", but nothing happened.
Aranda asked the spirit -- "Why she doesn't move?", and the spirit almost cried, saying -- "She's a spirit now" -- "Why can't I see her?" -- "You know,... It was magic, then it's different",...
She went downstairs, to see her father. He was on the ground too, with opened eyes. She passed her fingers on his face to close his eyes.
Suddenly, his phone started to call, and she got the phone to see who was it -- it said "Tarja".
The young girl decides to accept the calling, but said nothing.
-- Who's there? -- said a woman -- Who are you? -- the girl asked -- Oh, you must be their daughter,... What happened? -- asked the woman -- I don't know. A man came, shouting. My parents are sleeping on the ground -- a moment of silence, and then -- Oh, Gods,... Do you know how to hide? Your parents talked to me last week, and I have to talk to you. My name is Tarja. Can you hide? I'm coming for you in a few minutes,... -- she thought a little -- Can you send someone? I'm affraid, and I don't understand,... -- then, the woman gave an order -- Hide. I'll send someone first. His name is Toth -- she could only say -- H-hm,... -- then, Tarja said "I'll be there in a minute, and Toth will help you" -- end of call.
Aranda got upstairs quickly, calling her friend spirit.
Moments following, the girl listened to a voice downstairs, saying -- "I am Toth. I am here to help you". She gestures to the spirit to go and see if it's all right, and the spirit came back saying -- It's true. He's Toth, and he's here to help you.
Then, she got off of the brooms closet, with care, and looked down the stairs.
A fourty years old man was standing on the entrance door.
-- I am Toth -- said him -- You need help. Tarja is coming to help you, in a few minutes. I need to know if you saw this happening.
-- Hmmmh-no,... I was in the closet -- she murmurs, a bit shy.
Toth entered the house, and looked to her father's body. Then, he put himself in the same position he'd be by the time of that magic, and the cloud of a demon appeared, but Toth just waved his hand and the demon vanished -- "Udhun",... -- said him.
-- Has the person who did this said his name? -- Toth asked her.
-- He said a name, but I don't remember what the name is.
Then, a woman appeared by the entrance door, around twenty years old, very beautiful.
-- I am Tarja -- she said -- Your parents called me last week, and I'm here to help you.
The girl said nothing, then the woman entered the house, passed Toth, who murmured -- "It was Udhun" -- and she went to the girl on the stairs, stoping by in a short distance and bending on the left knee.
-- You are Aranda, right? -- How do you know my name? -- Your parents called me last week. We are creating a school, and they wanted you to attend the school -- A school? -- A school for Magic -- Then, I'm going to study magic,... (it was not a question) -- Exactly. How old are you? -- I'm ten -- the woman frowned a little, considering her age to be a problem -- You have to come with me to the school. There, you'll have friends to play with, teachers to explain what happens, and a huge number of things to do -- Why can't I stay here with my parents? -- the woman frowned, passed her left hand on her own nose, and started again -- Because the people who did this could come back, and you'd be in danger. Do you understand? I'll take care of you -- H'hn,... -- Now, can I see you room? -- Aranda noded, and the woman got up -- I'll follow you.
They went upstairs, and Aranda passed by the body of her mother, and stop. She tries to talk with her mother's spirit, but nothing happened. She looks to her spirit friend and say: -- "Why can't I talk to her?" -- "It was magic, so it's different", he explains.
Tarja moved her hand to call the attention of Aranda, and the girl murmured: -- "Ah, my room",...
The room was clearly organized, enough to say someone from Order lives in there, but not enough to be a paranoid with that, I mean, there is Chaos, but that's sort of under control.
-- You need to pack. Do you have a backpack? -- asked Tarja, firmly. The answer was: -- I do. This way, Tarja helped Aranda to organize her backpack, saying: -- You don't need to take too much clothes. See this? You only need two clothes for day, and one for resting a night. Some time later, the backpack was ready, and then Tarja moved herself to see the pictures the girl had: -- You should take a picture of you with your parents with you -- Aranda then choses a picture of her with her parents, a happy memory in the middle of this happening.
Aranda puts the picture on her backpack as it was a precious stone.
-- Ready? Then, we can go -- said Tarja, but the girl interrupted: -- Can my friend Dão come with me? He's with me since I was a baby,... -- Where is him? -- He's downstairs, hiding -- so, they went to the stairs, and Tarja said: -- Call him -- Dão! -- and the spirit appeared, coming from downstairs -- What? -- You can come with me -- the spirit's face shined, but then: -- I need one thing -- What? -- Come with me to your parents room -- and they went there, all being watched by Tarja, all the time -- I need this, and you need to carry this with you -- Right -- and the girl took the little box, not questioning what it was or even looking what was there inside the box. And then, Dão said: -- Now, we can go.
Passing by her mother's body, she stoped and tried to take the wand from her hand.
-- What is it, Aranda? -- Tarja asked, trying to think -- I want to take my parents wands with me -- You can have one only wand, Aranda. This, and the investigators will need the wands to know what happened -- Oh,...
The girl then changed her mind, and they went downstairs in silence.
-- Where is the school? -- she wanted to know -- It's being build in parallel dimensions -- What?! -- Parallel dimensions. We live in different dimensions, but the school's being build from twelve to sixteen, and it means there are parts of it you can see from this basic dimensions. The basic dimensions are actually twelve dimensions -- Oh,... -- There, you'll have a new life, with friends and our nation to help you there. And I want you to come with me. Are you ready? -- H'hn -- Then, off we go.
They passed by Toth, and went outside. Tarja took Aranda to her car, and five minutes later they were entering a garage. The house is not so big, but were not small too.
Passing by the door were easy, crossing the centre room too. What does she want to say it's a parallel dimension? Then, there were an older woman sitting by a table, studying, and then, there were a door.
-- I'll show you -- and the door was opened, to show bricks -- See? Only with the magic words you can go through it -- Tarja closed and opened again, and there was a passage.
Aranda and Tarja passed the doorway, and then the construction was seen. It was a corridor, with archs by the right way. Soon, they were in a camping site, which was iluminated by small lamps -- They're fire faeries -- said Tarja, and Aranda looked closer, to see small faeries living inside the lamp -- I created this Spell, and now every village is using it, "Tevited". Night is now iluminated, everywhere.
Soon, they stoped by a bigger tent, with a plaque saying "Headmaster", and they got in.
It is a one room tent, with a table and a bed. The shelf is full of books.
-- Have a sit -- said Tarja, casually -- Today's a free day, and students are not going to class. Actually, I'm planning the faeries to teach elemental spells, in a few hours -- someone called from outside the tent -- Mom! I mean, Headmaster! Are you there? -- Come in -- and a ten or eleven years old girl entered the room, stoping by the table and looking to Aranda -- Oi, Ifar. This is Aranda. She'll be a student too. Aranda, this is Ifar, my daughter. She's a first year as you, and she already know some Magic, same as you -- Oi,... -- said Aranda --Aranda? Beautiful name -- started Ifar -- Thanks -- Tarja looks the two girls, waits a second, and then speaks to her daughter -- What is it, Ifar? -- We are out of ideas for what to do the free day,... -- H'm,... -- Aranda was looking to the lamp, and she saw that it was full of faeries, then she says -- They can talk? -- Yes, and this is a good idea,... Ifar, why don't you invite the fire faeries to give class, this afternoon? -- Where? -- Here, at the camp site,... But the goal is not set fire to your tent -- This can be good. I'll tell the others -- and she leaves -- Tarja was happy -- Now, your tent.
Aranda then watched Tarja the headmaster to create her tent, during this morning. When she finally entered the tent, an atmosphere of magic entered at the same time. It is a one room tent, but there is a shelf, a table and a bed.
The young student took her parents picture and put on the table.
-- Dão! -- and the spirit appeared -- What? -- I think I remember the name the man said. It was "Bester" -- Take notes! Do you know how to take notes? Just put the date on every paper -- Thanks -- and Aranda started to take notes on what happened to her family.
She put the name "Bester" underlined, then noted "Name the man said".
During lunch, she was invited by the headmaster to sit with her and her daughter, but noticed every look in her direction. The other students were hissing and muttering, chatting about her, obviously.
-- They already know what happened to you and your family, Aranda. That's why they're looking and chatting -- said Tarja -- You must know that your spirit friend will have training -- Why? -- To know how to help you.
After lunch, she went to her tent, to talk with Dão, her spirit friend.
-- You know that my goal is to catch the man who did that to my family, don't you? -- Shh,... Don't say it. I know -- Will you help me? -- Of course I'll help you! It's my family too, your family. I served your family since you were born -- Then, it's Okay. What can you do to help me? -- I'll teach you how to investigate, take notes, and much more -- Thank you, Dão. What can I do now? -- Take notes on everything.
She did this, until started to listen to people outside of the tent.
It was the fire faeries class, and she manned not to set fire on her own tent, and started to understand what the faeries say. All the faeries noticed that, and came to play around her.
The night came, and Aranda was taking notes on the day her parents died, when she listened to a voice, a faery's voice.
She got her wand and went out to see what was going on, and one faery alone was saying: -- Come! It's important -- and she went running after the faery. She also noticed no one was on the camp site, no teachers on the corridors, the school was empty.
-- He'll eat us all! -- said the little faery -- and Aranda sees something difficult to describe.
A void elemental was destroying a series of a hundred lamps, trying to eat the faeries, and fire was starting at some point of the wall -- He'll set fire to the school! I know what to do! Dão! -- called her, and he appeared -- Go find the headmaster! He'll set fire to the school. I'll give you some time! Ah, wait! I'll make you visible -- and she got her wand, pointed Dão and it was done -- Can you find the headmaster? -- I'll find her,... It will be difficult, but it's a magic mission, easy because magic is everywhere -- She was trying to think about what to do. Dão was gone, and now it's time to magic.
Aranda concentrated in Life, her second best enlightenment, and got a good idea on how the elemental is made. Then, she pointed her wand to select the void elemental, and changed its organs to a different matter.
The elemental cried out loud, making a terrible noise which paralized her.
He tried to jump in her direction, but could not because of the matter inside it. It was agonizing. Then, paralized, she listens to people coming. The area soon was full of people, and Tarja the headmaster came to her side.
-- A void elemental,... -- and Tarja used her wand to ban the elemental, and it worked. Then, looked Aranda -- You materialized the elemental's viscera,... It was a very good way to deal with this. Thanks for sending your spirit friend to find our meeting.
The teachers and builders were fixing the lamps the void elemental was trying to eat.
On the next day, early in the morning, Aranda listened to a noise, and got up.
She sees a package by her door. Then, she gets her wand and tried to see if there's magic on the package, but she err the spellcasting. Muttering "Okay,... This is probably non magical", she opened the package. It was a table clock, very delicate and fine, with a note: "Thanks for saving the school. Signed: The Students", and she got inside her tent to put the clock on her table, together with her parents picture.
And a new day started, with the promise of fiding magic,... Because Magic,...
Magic is everywhere.
Thanks for reading.
